turned around and took three steps out, and I did not return to the Blue Canyon Bar & Grill for weeks.

Perhaps my initial experience had left me feeling a bit uneasy, but at the end of my stay in Golden, I felt that out of all the major places that I had visited in Golden, I had unfairly left out the Blue Canyon Bar & Grill. On my very last afternoon in town, I made a last-minute decision to give this bar another chance. The time of day was about 3PM on a drizzling Sunday afternoon, and once again, I pushed open the door.

Immediately, my experience here was a yin and yang difference from my last time. Two people were sitting at the bar on ultra-contemporary bar stools, and one other person was sitting at a table. The rest of the room was completely void of people. The room itself was actually quite larger than my first visit left me thinking, and now I could clearly see that indeed, the far corner was a makeshift stage that appeared to be set up for karaoke.

The menu here covers a wide range of foods, with a slight emphasis on Americanized Mexican fare. I was impressed by the
